I was recently in New Orleans and spotted this Easterly 30. Because of the distance from me and and noise in the area, I couldn't speak with the folks on board.
I don't even think they saw me take any photos. (None of them are identifiable, so I can't imagine them getting upset by the photo.)
I would have liked more info on the boat, but it just wasn't possible to speak with them under the circumstances.
Hi Brian, I happen to be an Easterly and have been doing some research into my family history and ran across the Easterly Yacht Co. and other interesting facts. I'd be more than happy to share what I learn with you about the company and their production of boats as I find it, hopefully I can uncover a bit more than you were able to! I'm in the beginning stages, so it may take a bit, but I will keep you up to date on my progress. I do know that they went out of business in 1980, and I live in New Orleans, so wish me luck.
